Get Started on Crafting Scrapbook Gifts

This week's new feature article is the step-by-step instructions for making scrapbook pages on pieces of free-standing wood. These stylish, home decorating pieces also make fabulous Christmas gifts for family and friends. This project, however, is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to things that you can do with your scrapbook techniques and supplies to make gifts for the holidays. Some other ideas include:

1) Scrapbooked Canvas Wall Clock - This clock that I made at the Quick Quotes Private Reserve event would be a fantastic Christmas gift. You can recreate with a canvas from your local craft store and supplies that you have at home.

2) Wooden Block Scrapbook Page Puzzle - I love this project. The finished gift would look perfect on Dad's desk. It would also make a great gift for your child's teacher.

3) More Out-of-the-Scrapbook Gift Ideas - In the past, About.com Scrapbooking readers have shared ideas for making scrapbook gifts out of everything from wooden clothes pins to an old ski. Check out this gallery for ideas.

4) Share Your Ideas - We would love to see what you have made that uses your scrapbooking supplies and techniques in a unique way. Maybe you created a home decoration, a party supply, or a great gift. We want to see. Come share your ideas by clicking on this link.
